  1. I enjoyed alot the first few days of 6 grade doing fun things and starting to get merits. Because I already know the majority of the teachers I felt much more confident about entering the middle school.

  2. This unit is amazing we’ve been doing lots of things in class and in other lessons. In class we did a collage all about us, about our hobbies, the things we like best…
We also painted what we saw in a song of Pink Floyd called “Time”.

    Amazin !!!

  3. I think that grade 6 and the Middle School is a lovely experience. When I had to first come in the Middle school I was worried about the grade 9s but they are actually very caring. In the Middle school we are more responsable and that’s what I like the best. Yesterday we had to paint a part of the playground with chalk and it was really fun. I love Middle school and I am so proud that I am here!

  4. I really like the middle school.
I can stay with my sister in grade 9.
I love the idea of the lockers, it is the first time that I use a locker.

  5. Today in class we made a reinterpretation of the charcoal picture we made on Tuesday in the play ground.
Everybody used different materials it was so fun.

  6. The other day we made a picture of the playground. I drew the church, I really like my picture,

  9. I really like the middle school.
I think that unit is fantastic, we need to make a poster and a model.

  10. Miss Lindsay asked me to post my review of The Snow Spider by Jenny Nimmo…

This book is called “The Snow Spider” by Jenny Nimmo. The four main characters are Gwyn, a boy that is trying to discover if he is a magician, Nain, a strange old women hat tries to discover if Gwyn is a magician Eirlys, a new girl in school, mysterious and she has a remarkable effect on Gwyn’s father and Bethan, Gwyn’s sister disappeared four years ago. The story is set in Wales in the countryside.
The book start’s on the day of Gwyn’s birthday, Nain gives him five strange presents: a piece of seaweed, a tin whistle, a yellow scarf, a metal brooch and a broken horse. The presents will help him to find out if he is a magician. Gwyn father: Mr. Griffiths doesn’t care to discover if his son is a magician because he is still so sad for her daughter Bethan disappearance. On a windy day Nain and Gwyn let to the wind the metal brooch and back comes as a response: a wonderful snow flake that after a while transforms into a silver spider. When Nain see’s the spider she starts calling Gwyn a magician and says that the spider has come from another world to bring his wish alive: to see his sister again. A new girl is arrived in school, her name is Eirlys and helps Gwyn when he has a fight with Dewi Davis and the girl has an effect on Gwyn’s father. When Gwyn trusts his secret to his friend Alun, he thinks his mad and they start to get angry with each other!
One day when Gwyn had just come back from school he couldn’t find his spider (Airianwen)he asks his mum if she saw it and she replied that she hat drowned it into the sink! Gwyn was shocked. While he was searching for Arianwen, he had with him the broken horse and strangely the wind took it out of his hands and it disappeared. One day Alun came to visit Gwyn but he couldn’t find him so he thought he had went up to the mountains and went there. After an hour or so his mother came to Gwyn’s house asking if he was there but the reply was no. His parents started getting a bit anxious and called the police to search him. During the night Gwyn was thinking of his friend and all of a sudden a knock was heard on the door: it was Alun. Gwyn asked where he had been and he started telling the story and the conclusion was he had found Arianwen and the broken horse. Mum came in the kitchen and very suprisede of finding Alun in her house she immediately called his parents. His parents are very happy to see him and ask him all sort of questions.
The story ends with Eirlys telling Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths she has to leave during the night. So this happens and during the night a silver ship appears and takes her away back to her world.
I think this book is a very interesting book and recommend it to a friend because it is full of mystery (for people who like mystery books) and it is adventurous and exciting. I think to have made the book better he author could have put some images and make it more exciting on the start.
